About Leyden Jar
The Leyden jar works on a simple principle. This is entirely different from the mechanisms of a battery. It is a capacitor that consists of a glass jar. They are in line on the inside as well as on the outside with electricity. This is further separated into layers that cover with a foil. Initially, the jar was filled with enough water. As it was assumed that this jar contained enough charge in it. Accidently, Galvani, in 1780, invented the first chemical energy cell. This was a mere accidental discovery that took place while dissecting a frog.

A colleague named Volta had realized the crucial elements that make up this first battery into a working condition. Thereafter, he started constructing a volcanic pile that consisted of zinc and copper discs. Layers of cloth separated these in saltwater. Thus, he invented and built and improved version of batteries with zinc and silver.
